Minster Fine Foods are one of the UK’s leading innovative suppliers of Delicatessen Meat Products and are responsible for sales and marketing within the UK for a selected number of specialised European BRC accredited manufacturers. We have over 30 years’ experience supplying quality products at competitive prices into national multiple retailers, foodservice providers and wholesale markets.

We are looking for a dynamic accounts assistant to join our well-established team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role will incorporate processing purchase and sales invoices, posting sales receipts, credit control and investigating queries. There will also be some general office admin including maintaining CRM systems, sales reporting, filing and assisting with customs declarations.

Whilst you may be AAT qualified, or studying at AAT level 3 or 4, we will also consider applicants who have developed their career entirely through experience if you can demonstrate a strong skill set in IT, particularly Excel, and a positive attitude with a drive to further your career and contribute proactively to the interests of the business and the team.

You will be a detail orientated individual with a desire to learn all functions within our office environment and be able to thrive during time pressured tasks but also keep momentum on longer terms projects.

The Role:

- Processing both sales and purchase ledger invoices
- Inputting sales receipts and investigating variances and queries
- Sales reporting
- Acting as back up holiday cover for sales order processing and customs declaration processing (full training to be given)
- Maintaining stock records, including reconciliation
- Checking payment runs
- Other administrative support as required
- Organised by nature, prioritising and managing your own workload.
- Digitally literate with excellent computer skills.
- A good communicator who can easily build relationships and establish a rapport with customers on the telephone to ensure prompt payments are received.
- Experience in a similar role is desired, with a history of working with Sage, Opera, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
- Naturally inquisitive with a desire to learn new processed and procedures
- Able to work accurately and to deadlines

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
