M&E Team Leader

Darlington, Wakefield, Belfast and Glasgow

Up to £44,940 per annum

Full time - Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Including company vehicle and fuel card

Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021 Mears had over 19000 service users across the three regions. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.

About the Role:
We are proud of the services we provide and with ambitious plans to continue this rapid growth, we are looking to recruit for an experienced 'Gas Supervisor' to monitor and control work within the Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber areas as well as manage Boilers and Certification. The Gas Supervisor will join our team and will work and support across the entire Region. This is a great opportunity within our Housing Management business, following the success of the Asylum Accommodation and Support Contract win. As a M&E Team Leader your main duties will include managing a team of Gas Engineers, working closely with gas compliance and planners as well as managing voids, servicing, repairs and audits where required.

Role Criteria:

- Gas Qualified
- Experience working as a Gas Engineer
- Knowledge of Repairs and Maintenance
- People management experience
- Excellent communication
- Team player and ability to work alone
- Social housing experience would be ideal but not essential
