_We are a growing technology company that helps chemical & manufacturing companies improve their processes through the use of our patented IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer. Due to increasing customer demand, we are hiring a Chemistry Laboratory Technician._

**Chemistry Laboratory Technician - Part Time**
**Harwell Oxford, Didcot OX11 - Oxfordshire, England.**
**£28,000 Pro Rata**

**About You**:
+ Attention to detail and observation skills
+ A willingness to get involved in whatever is needed at the time

**Desirable Attributes**:
+ Experience with FTIR spectroscopy
+ Experience in one of the core markets Keit operates in (i.e. edible oils, industrial chemicals, biotechnology)
+ Experience with Design of Experiment methodology

You'll experience cutting-edge agilemanagement methods and learn about lean 6-sigma manufacturing techniques alongside product design. You’ll be working across all aspects of the business within a multi-disciplinary team, and you will be working directly with international customers.

Keit works as a team in a dynamic and agile environment. Keit has developed and sells the IRmadillo spectrometer to a range of manufacturing industries including Chemicals (bulk, specialty & fine), Pulp & Paper, Fats & Oils, Biorenewables, Biofuels, IndustrialBiotechnology, and Metals, Mining & Minerals.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
This role supports the company by preparing and analysing samples, to demonstrate the potential of Keit’s innovative IRmadillo process FTIR to help them control and optimise their production processes.

Initially the role is part time (0.5 Full Time Equivalent), but there may be opportunity in the future to increase the scope of the role.

**What you'll be doing**:
+ Preparation of stock solutions and synthetic samples to replicate customers’ chemistry
+ Analysis of liquid samples using the IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer replicating the customers process with relevant accessories or sample cells
+ Handling potentially dangerous substances in a safe and controlled way, and disposing of them accordingly
