This is a fantastic opportunity to work at one of Manchester’s most exclusive luxury venues. Vermilion is an iconic venue that includes an upscale Asian Fusion restaurant, lounge bar and three wedding and event spaces.

We are now looking for a sommelier to oversee our wine menu and offer recommendations on the best pairings. To be successful as a sommelier, you should demonstrate a friendly personality, strong knowledge of food and wine pairings, and good interpersonal skills.

The responsibilities of sommeliers include supervising wine serving and providing wine recommendations to guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on wine selection to customers
- Assist customers in choosing wines that complement their meals or preferences
- Training staff on available wines.
- Maintain a comprehensive wine list and ensure it is up to date
- Conduct wine tastings and educate customers on different varieties and regions
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new wine releases
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to create wine pairing menus
- Ensure proper storage and handling of wines to maintain quality
