**We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our new team in Gateshead.**

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a significant difference in a young person's life? We are seeking kind-hearted healthcare assistants to join our team in Gateshead to support a vibrant 14-year-old boy with complex care needs.

Our ideal care team will be passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their family home.

**Meet our service user**

Our service user is a sociable young boy in his teens who lives with Mum in Gateshead, he requires support on a 2:1 basis throughout the day with his complex and clinical care needs.

In this rewarding position, you will provide personalised care and support, helping our young boy thrive and enjoy his daily activities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring his comfort, safety, and happiness.

He loves spending quality time with his family, friends and care team and enjoys the interaction with others.

You will engage him in educational and recreational activities that cater to his interests and abilities and provide emotional support and encouragement.

Your role throughout the day will include providing care with his morning routine getting him ready for the day, carrying out daily tasks such as washing, dressing, moving, and handling requirements and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will accompany him to his educational setting where you will support his daily routine, attending to his needs when required.

**It is essential for our care team to have complex care experience working with Children for this position**

**A driving licence is essential for this role to be able to drive our service users adapted vehicle.**

**Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.**

**Essential experience**
- 3 months previous care experience
- Complex care experience working with children
- Personal Care
- Medication Administration
- A Valid Driving licence.

**Desirable Experience**
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management
- Suctioning
- Gastrostomy care

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part Time Days Available
- 2-3 shifts per week
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Alternate weekends are required for this position

**Take a look at our payrates**

Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (Approx.£117.00 per 9-hour shift)

Weekends: £14.00 per hour (Approx.£168.00 per 12-hour shift)

Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour (Approx. £192.00 per 12-hour shift)
