The role is suitable for both Males and Females with a passion for working with young people.

Dragon Group are seeking to appoint an Education Mentor to support with our Alternative Provision Programme, who will be required to support the delivery focused of English, Maths, pre-employment, sports/fitness, career guidance, 1:1 support, pastoral and mentoring support to young people with special education needs aged 12-25.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Effectively engage with young participants and develop trust-based, intensive relationships to provide an appropriate level of support.
- Support the young person in actively addressing barriers to education or work, setting clear goals, short and medium term actions consistent with accessing employment, training or education.
- Regularly review progress and challenges with each young person.
- Manage Health and Safety and Data Protection to legal standards.
- Maintain appropriate caseloads reflecting a young person’s varied levels of need, in order to ensure a flexible, holistic support service addressing employability, education and wider personal support barriers.
- Explore and access existing support to address the identified support needs of individual young people.
- Maintain an up to date record of reports, individual action planning and support provided.

**Salary**: £17,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
