The housekeeper will promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests. The Housekeeper must understand his/her role as brand ambassador and provide positive brand experiences to all customers.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience not essential but is preferred
- No education required, we will train one on one
- Ability to follow instruction
- Good communication skills are an asset
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Flexibility is key, this role will include working weekends
- Attention to detail
- Professional appearance and manners
- Flexible Hours

**DUTIES**:

- Clean a set amount of guest bedrooms / public areas according to Sandman Hotels standards
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
- Responds to guests and staff inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
- Ensures all lost property items is handled in line with company policy.
- Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
- Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
- Perform Laundry tasks when necessary, including collect, sort, transport laundry at the beginning of each shift.
- Stock linen supply room with clean linens for use for next day.
- Perform Linen Porter duties if required. Perform additional tasks as directed by Housekeeping supervisor.

- Excellent customer relations.
- Must have time-management skills.
- Adaptable to change and be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail
- Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations.
- Be fit and able to lift.
