**Information About The Role**

West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit a CT Case Officer to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

Applicants must have a full current UK/European driving licence and be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements which includes being willing to work wherever required within the UK, as part of a Regional or National response and call-outs as required.

**Responsibilities**
- 1. Lead by example and behave in line with the Police Code of Ethics ensuring that the CTP & College of
Policing values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood in their decision making and actions;
reinforcing and influencing them through all interactions and processes.
2. Manage Prevent referrals in line with National policy, ensuring case management actions and decisions are
recorded thoroughly, utilising the National Decision Making (NDM) as appropriate.
3. Attend Channel Panel meetings to provide relevant information and assessments necessary to assist panels to
make effective risk management decisions and develop robust case management plans.
4. Identify, engage and risk assess the deployment of approved Intervention Providers (IP) through the Channel
process. Undertake relevant actions from Channel panels to reduce Prevent relevant risk and safeguard
recording all activity and decisions on relevant Police systems.
Ensure family members, those vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism and affected communities are provided
with appropriate support and reassurance in line with the SIO policy.

8. Identify, engage and maintain relationships with multi-agency partnerships, institutions and groups within
communities. Promote and support the delivery of Prevent at a local, regional and national level. Assist and
support the partnership to build community resilience to challenge extremist and terrorist ideology.
9. Where appropriate support partners with targeted training and engagement to improve processes and increase
the quantity and quality of referrals into Prevent. Provide timely information, intelligence and briefings to aid the
development and delivery of Prevent Champions.
10. Where required provide active support to colleagues across CTPNE during times of significant demand.
