**Driver/Yard Man**

**Responsible To**:Production Foreman

As a Driver/Yard man for Commercial Systems International Limited you will be required to carry out tasks and conform to the procedures that follow.

Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.

Ensure with Works Foreman and Loader that the load is correct against the customers’ orders.

Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Works Foreman, and use disclaimers if necessary.

Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print.

If any errors, mark Dispatch Note accordingly and consult with Works Foreman /Production Manager as appropriate.

Provide excellent customer service.

Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and avoid getting over involved in discussion. Contact Works Foreman /Production Manager for assistance if required.

Carry out multi-drop deliveries if required in a timely and safe manner.

Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.

To ensure a commitment to quality at all stages of the project.

Work in line with the company Health and Safety procedures to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you

Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum.

Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.

Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and give to Works Foreman /Production Manager.

Be fully conversant with the tools needed by you to complete your role and the task in hand. Only work with machinery that you have been given full training on.

Notify your manager immediately if you notice any damage to equipment, or it is not working properly

Work to the companies ISO 9001 Quality, CE 14351 & 13830 regulations and Production procedures to enable us to produce a quality product at all times.

Work with supervisors to ensure all site delivery and programme dates are achieved on time and in full

To ensure a commitment to quality at all stages of the project.

Work in line with the company Health and Safety procedures to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you.

Complete daily time sheets and pass to your supervisor at the end of each shift.

Participate in weekly Tool Box Talks.

Be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required to meet the company’s commitments to the client.

Be prepared to work off site or at another location if needed.

Be prepared to work in other areas of the company if required to do so.

Adhere to the companies rules and hand book at all times

Conduct yourself in a good and professional manner at all times

Carry out any other reasonable task that may be requested by management.

Embrace and culture an environment of continuous improvement

To take advantage of the company’s ‘Open Door Policy’ and relate any questions, queries or thoughts that you have in an open and respectful manner to peers and managers

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Dress Code Policy, Standards of Performance Policy and Health and Safety Policy.

**Salary**: £9.18-£9.50 per hour
