Fundraising Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and focused individual to join our team at Velindre as a Fundraiser.
The Velindre Fundraiser will be a key member of the Velindre Fundraising Team responsible for organising and delivering the overall aims and objectives of the Fundraising Department, maximising donations and support.
The Velindre Fundraiser will create, plan, manage and organise a portfolio of fundraising events and activities to agreed budgets and targets in line with the overall Charity strategy, developing and managing new fundraising initiatives.
The Fundraiser will be responsible for establishing, supporting and developing relationships with external fundraisers and key supporters to ensure that their fundraising is maximised both financially and through increased awareness raising.
Main duties of the role will include;
Account manage allocated fundraising activities and fundraising supporters.
Contribute to the Velindre Fundraising overall strategy and deliver against targets.
Implement and manage an agreed programme of fundraising activities ensuring all activities are comprehensively planned with all relevant Velindre Fundraising procedures in place to achieve budgets and targets within necessary timescales.
Act as the main point of contact for external fundraisers, provide support, motivation and guidance, advise on all aspects of fundraising and promotion, legal requirements, income and expenditure.

Speak on behalf of Velindre Fundraising at events and attend cheque presentations and photo opportunities with fundraisers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
