This role is brand new and is enshrining the key accountabilities of ensuring meaningful involvement and co-production in service design, service provision and service review.- This role is vital in enabling both partners to showcase the importance of service users and carer engagement in their core social care and health business.- Definitions of exactly what involvement and co-production means vary, but the term is used to describe partnership working between people who draw on care and support, carers and citizens to improve public services.- As partners we are proud to be recruiting to this post, as we are committed to ethos of true partnership working. Involvement and co-production is a key concept in the development of public services, and it makes an important contribution to all the big challenges that face social care provision. In particular, involvement and co-production in Calderdale will be used to develop preventative, strength-based services, support assessment, shape the local care market, and plan information and advice services.- We are keen to employ the best person to build positive relationships between staff and people who draw on care and support. We want to ensure that people who draw on care and support are recognised as experts in their own right and an emphasis on creating the outcomes that people value, rather than just those - such as clinical outcomes - that the organisation values.- Detail the roles purpose and highlight the key duties/responsibilities.- The role of the involvement and co-production officer will be to advise and support CMBC and NHS ICB, Calderdale place and partners on stakeholder involvement and community aspects of service provision, while promoting best practices and reflecting policy and statutory responsibilities.- The role will take responsibility for organising and facilitating local involvement events with internal and external colleagues using various resources to capture the opinions of children, young people, and adults for commissioning decisions.- The role will be a key collaborator with colleagues and stakeholders to implement and assess inclusive plans that align with strategic goals for NHS ICB, Calderdale Place and CMBC, enabling people and communities to participate in decision making processes.- The role will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination and involvement of all communities and groups to consistently incorporate their perspectives and input into service planning, development, and delivery. The involvement and co-production officer post, educated to a minimum standard of A level 5 award e.g. DiP HE, Foundation degree or equivalent relevant experience, needs to have a working knowledge of service users, people and our communities, carers, staff involvement and an understanding of how it can inform decision making within large and complex organisations.- You will have excellent inter-personal skills, and a real commitment to partnership working. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.
