Warehouse and Plant Supervisor

Working as the Plant and Warehouse Supervisor you will be part of our operations team based in Tewkesbury and reporting to the site manager. Your primary role will be to control the day-to-day operations of the site within all legal, technical, environmental and company requirements to ensure that the site operates efficiently and within financial constraints. This will included supervising the unloading of vehicles, correctly segregating waste and ensuring that the cremator operates in a compliant and efficient manner. In addition you will be in control of the movement of stock materials in and out of the site. You will supervise a small team of cremator and warehouse operatives the number of which will vary with the demands of the plant. You will ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is achieved and that the whole site is kept clean and tidy

**Key job responsibilities**
- Ensuring that the cremator is run efficiently and within the permit conditions
- Work alongside the depot manager to ensure that the whole site operates with in the environmental permit and other legislative constraints.
- Ensure that all operations that are carried out on the site comply with H&S legislation.
- Carry out and document risk assessments and method statements as and when required
- Assist the plant manager in managing human resource both in terms of the shift pattern and holiday requests.
- Be prepared to provide holiday cover for members of the team as and when required including shift cover
- Ensuring stores are available and correctly allocated, ensuring all stock movement is appropriately documented
- Maintaining a tidy and efficient warehouse environment, ensuring an awareness of stock items and levels via stock checks and audits
- Ensure shortages are avoided with the timely ordering of goods to fulfil orders, reporting supply problems to the site Manager
- Monitoring of product quality and reporting any problems
- Place packaged pet’s ashes into drivers cages ready for delivery back to veterinary clients
- Assist drivers will the unloading of vehicle, audit driver paperwork and check off load list as required
- Loading of cold store and trailers, either manually or using a mechanical aid, i.e. Forklift, pallet truck
- Assembly of boxes and cremation bags for client use

**Key attributes and skills**
- Forklift licence
- Have or work towards a COTC for transfer of special waste
- IT proficient with previous experience of excel
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
- The ability to carry out instructions and meet deadlines
- Verbal and written communication skills required to be able to complete Company documentation and liaise with colleagues at all levels

Pay: £30,050.00 per year
