The Institute of Astronomy (IoA) are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join an exciting programme of work on extrasolar planets. In particular, the programme is focused on the study of a new category of planets called sub-Neptunes. Such planets are thought to be capable of hosting a wide variety of interior and atmospheric processes, including the possibility of hosting life. The main objectives of the programme are to investigate the atmospheres of several sub-Neptunes using a variety of astronomical observations.

The responsibilities of this role include:
The efficient running of the day-to-day research activities, by creating and maintaining documents, supporting the research group, maintaining research resources and databases, financial coordination, organising meetings and events, and developing plans to support the Programme Manager in order to ensure smooth running and success of the programme.

Fixed-term: The position is full time and funds are available for this post for 3 years from date of appointment, with the possibility of extension.
