An exciting opportunity has arisen for a COPD Team Lead in West Sussex covering predominantly Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex with some cross cover for the Coastal West Sussex Team Lead when needed.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse or Physiotherapist to lead our respiratory team based at Horsham Hospital. You will have knowledge in managing patients with COPD and other respiratory conditions and will provide both Operational and Clinical Leadership to the team. You will work closely with the Coastal West Sussex Team Lead to ensure pathways and processes are aligned and that there is consistency with competency sign off and provision of excellent patient care. You will support the team with managing waiting times, developing job planning and ensure the delivery of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation project is on track in collaboration with the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Project Manager.

As a senior clinician you will provide leadership & management to the COPD Team demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge base and promoting excellence in practice in a dynamic healthcare environment

You will also be responsible for the development and consistent delivery of a high quality service and play a pivotal role in supporting a positive place for staff and their development.

As part of your role is ensuring our service users receive excellent care, you will initiate and participate in evidence-based projects and audits, to improve both immediate and future quality of patient's care.

In this role, you need to be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, flexible and able to work autonomously using strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills. You will also be passionate about working creatively to bring about innovative service development.
