Customer Relations Adviser - 12 months fixed term contract

The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Relations Adviser to join our experienced team on a 12 month fixed term basis, managing complaints within our Glasgow office.

Working closely with your local colleagues and those in regional offices, you'll help provide a full service to our valued clients by ensuring the highest standard of customer care. Using your empathy and understanding, you will record and manage all complaints from customers and our clients. This will include collating and sharing complaint information with claims handlers, loss adjusters and other relevant parties, and working to agreed timescales to successfully manage client expectations. Once shared with your colleagues, you'll take responsibility to drive a plan of action to ensure each complaint is dealt with to a satisfactory outcome and that the customer is happy with the resolution.

You will have/will be:
- A sound domestic or commercial property insurance claims background is essential, as it's vital that you can manage both the quantum and validation aspects of our claims whilst identifying the best complaint resolution route- Experience in a complaint handling role would be beneficial- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written- The ability to defuse difficult situations- Able to remain calm and professional under pressure- Able to work on your own initiative and be willing to go that 'extra mile'- Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel- A working knowledge of Regulatory Complaints and Compliance as it applies to the insurance industryWhat will you get for this role?- Competitive salary depending on skills, experience and qualifications- Many of our vacancies offer the opportunity to work flexibly, whether from office and/or home- Pension Scheme- Holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays- Discounts on various products and services- Employee assistance programme for employee wellbeing- Life assurance
