PPI Engineering Ltd is a Norwich based company specialising in Engineering design, supply and support for High Voltage Electrical Motors and Generators. We are experiencing a growth in demand for our services and due to expansion and acquisition of new facilities we are currently looking to recruit the following personnel:
**Project Purchaser**

**Role Overview**:
We have a requirement for a project purchaser who has experience of working in a specification based engineering environment and is able to co-ordinate the purchase of project specific items for our machines. Working closely with the project engineering team, you will be responsible for the purchase of bespoke parts for numerous projects, negotiating with suppliers globally to achieve optimal pricing, timelines and quality.

**Responsibilities**:
The role will involve the following duties:
Sending out enquiries for bought out parts.

Securing competitive quotations and reviewing for suitability.

Processing and manage purchase orders and track delivery progress.

Arranging shipment of goods including raising the relevant documents.

Review and approval of vendors.

Supplier visits to establish suitability and progress orders.

Hire of tools and equipment for service engineers.

Arranging calibration of test equipment.

Arranging training requirements for personnel.

Assisting with general project requirements including liaising with customers and suppliers.

**What we are looking for**:
Good communication skills to be able to liaise with all levels of personnel within the business, customers and suppliers.

Good organisational skills to keep track of order status, shipments, invoicing and records.

Ability to effectively plan, prioritising and problem solve, with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and have an understanding of manufacturing processes.

Experience of arranging shipment of parts using couriers and shipping agents.

Be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.

Driving licence and Passport.

The following would be beneficial but not essential:
Experience dealing with foreign suppliers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
