We’re looking for a talented Junior Digital Designer, excited to help shape brands to stand out in the digital landscape.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Digital Designer with raw talent to join our Experience Design team in Leeds. You’ll be responsible for carrying out smaller tasks that form larger commercial deliverables - working with other members of the creative team to deliver across UI, UX and brand design. At Parallax, we offer a hybrid working setup - however, as a junior designer, we believe you would find it beneficial to be in the studio 3-4 times a week. This will give you great experience working in a studio environment and having members of the design team on hand to learn from.

As a junior member of the team, you will contribute to the commercial output of the studio - however your progression as a digital designer is equally as important to us. There are no qualifications we ask for, other than someone who cares about designing creative digital experiences, has great communications skills and enjoys being part of a fast paced team. Your portfolio of work will showcase your eye for design and aptitude for creative problem solving. Previous experience within an agency or in-house design role is beneficial however not required.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the design team in assisting the delivery of brand outputs, presentation deck designs, social media posts, icons and supporting graphics
- Develop your understanding of best practices, core processes and skills across digital design - for example creating user stories and wireframes
- Contribute to the design department and culture by identifying the latest software, events and design trends
- Establish and develop your presentation skills to internal and client stakeholders, clearly explaining the recommended approaches and decisions made
- Identify areas of improvement for self development, aided by your line manager, to upskill across UI, UX and Brand design

**Key skills, experience & knowledge**
- Basic working knowledge of design software including Figma and Adobe Creative cloud (bonus points for experience in Webflow or any motion software, Adobe After Effects etc.)
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Sketching and ideation, you’re super passionate about doing great work and getting others excited about it
- Experienced in typography, layout and composition - with an understanding of how web accessibility impacts upon these
- Display a learning mentality, to keep track of industry trends, and a constant desire to improve your skills and learn from the experience of the wider team
- Have the ability to interpret and work directly from brand guidelines and digital design systems
- Understanding of UX design principles and developing work with a user-centered focus
- Good time management, self-motivated and able to work efficiently to tight deadline
