Tour Guide

**Duties**
- Ensure that each bike tour is sufficiently prepared for (bikes prepared etc.)
- Welcome guests individually and provide a brief overview to the group (Articulate background to the organisation, overview of the tour and a full demonstration of how the bikes operate)
- Ensure the safety of tour participants throughout the tour.
- Provide a fun, engaging and informative experience and exceptional customer service throughout.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour while interacting with visitors.
- Lead groups of guests through designated routes, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the tour.
- Share historical facts, cultural insights, and interesting anecdotes about the attractions visited and relay your own experience of Glasgow.
- Answer questions from tour participants and provide additional information as requested.
- Take photos of guests with / without yourself on the tour.
- Close the tour successfully (highlighting feedback options and offer any further recommendations)

- Exceptional people and customer service skills to provide a high quality experience for tour participants.
- Ability/willingness to engage with a wide variety of people.
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Confident cyclist and have experience of cycling around Glasgow.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to tour participants.
- Strong public speaking skills to engage and captivate audiences of varying sizes.
- Knowledge of the attractions, landmarks, or areas being toured and willingness to build knowledge.
- Ability to adapt commentary to suit different audiences and age groups.
- Good organizational skills to ensure timely completion of tour.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations or challenges that may arise during tours.
**Other skills (beneficial but not essential)**
- Other languages such as German, Spanish, French, Dutch or Gaelic (tours will be in English however sometimes an additional language may help)

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract
**Salary**: £12.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.5 - 18 per week
