This role provides a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow the manufacturing analytic capability within JLR.
We’re also keen for you to act as a leader to the team and wider organisation, championing the importance of the agile values and principles in all the decisions we make.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
As an Analytic Product Owner, you will serve as the intermediary between our customer’s needs, technical capabilities, and manufacturing requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of development teams. You will lead the refinement of features and user stories to ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines, work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions and coordinate with business customers and their project managers to ensure successful delivery. You will also support demonstrations and our business stakeholders and external customers, bring a technical based approach in assessing new changes and / or requirements; develop relationships with key stakeholders and be an advocate for improvements across the wider organisation, and oversee all development stages of the product. As part of your role, you will work closely to understand and coordinate dependencies to ensure alignment, help personalize and humanize the customer experience while at the same time accomplishing future business scalability and continually develop and maintain the standards for analytics development. You will also undertake people management accountabilities for direct reports, e.g., undertake annual performance review, gathering insight from relevant project teams, coordinate performance improvement plan where appropriate.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
**Essential**:
Experience of product ownership and project delivery. Proficient in the analysis and implementation of customer requirements, product backlog and product vision with knowledge and or certification of Agile practices and methodologies
Experience with working across organisational silos and breaking down barriers to successful product ownership or project delivery
Understanding of iterative software development and incremental delivery of high-quality user stories and how to drive to a satisfactory MVP
An adaptable and pragmatic approach and a curious mind, continually asking ‘why’
Independent mindset with an appreciation of what ‘better’ looks like - able to suggest improvements to existing products, processes, or ways of working, or even new products
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ideally would have an understanding of Business intelligence tools
Ideally would have an understanding of Data engineering
Previous experience and knowledge of various cloud data management platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Previous experience of architecting small to medium-sized data products and data pipelining
Previous experience of delivering projects within Agile or Scrum framework
