SLR's Land and Water team have a fantastic new opportunity for an early career Hydrologist to join our Manchester, Princess Street office.**The role**

Working alongside experienced hydrologists, you will be required to prepare flood risk assessments, and outline Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) designs for a range of projects principally in the built environment, minerals and power sectors. Duties will also include undertaking field-based work, preparing water chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports and Environmental Appraisals.- This role will involve projects and limited site investigations across the UK, and therefore may include infrequent periods working away from home for several days at a time.**About us**

- We also imagine you would have the following:

- Hydrology, Water Resources Management or Civil Engineering degree (MSc or MEng)
- Competency in (or exposure to) one or more numerical hydrological modelling packages (Micro-Drainage, ReFH2, GoldSim, HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller Pro, TuFlow, etc.)
- Experience in field work such as site walkovers, managing infiltration tests in accordance with BRE365, scheduling, managing and undertaking water sampling events
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good report writing skills and literacy
- ** A full driving licence valid in the UK**
