An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, but friendly, Patient Administration team based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.

We are currently looking for 3 Ward Clerks:

- Vacancy 1: 34.5 hrs (12 months fixed term)

[Delivery Suite] 3 x 11.5 hour shifts a week
- Vacancy 2: 23 hrs

[Delivery Suite] 2 x 11.5 hour shifts a week
- Vacancy 3: 37.5 hrs

[Medical Assessment Unit] 3 weeks of 3 x 11.5 hour shifts, 1 week of 4 x 11.5 hour shifts

All 3 vacancies will require you to work both day and night shifts. This does also include bank holidays and weekends too.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be patient focused and have a positive attitude. In addition, they require an excellent telephone manner and good IT skills, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks under pressure. The role also requires the ability to be standing for long periods, collecting and lifting patient notes.

You would need to be able to work as part of a team, but also be able to work unsupervised, using your own initiative and reporting skills. You will have excellent organisational and time keeping skills, which are essential for this position.

Training will be provided.
