An exciting vacancy has arisen within our Finance team for a **UK & Ireland Contracts and Legal Advisor** to join the team. Reporting directly to the UK & I Company Secretary, the main purpose of this role is to review, draft and advise on a wide range of legal documentation and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust contract control procedure.

As a **UK & Ireland Contracts and Legal Advisor**, you will:

- Review, draft and advise on a wide range of legal documentation, including sale/purchase agreements, trading agreements, distribution agreements, rebate agreements, subcontractor agreements, field trial agreements, collateral warranties, promotional terms, warranty terms and NDAs.
- Ongoing review and improvement of template legal agreements, including updates to ensure they remain fit for purpose and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support on the completion of tender documentation and supply chain assessments.
- Provide advice and support on contractual and related issues and disputes.
- Support the Company Secretary in the development and implementation of a robust end to end process for contract control, including review, approval, execution, recording and retention of contracts.
- Work with the Company Secretary to develop, and then maintain, the delegation of authority (DOA) for contracts in line with Group policy.
- Manage the execution of contracts in line with the DOA.
- Support the delivery of training to colleagues on contract law and related issues.
- Provide advice and support to the business on anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, modern slavery and other trade compliance.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, Paralegal or other with demonstrable and substantial experience reviewing, drafting and advising on UK commercial and consumer contracts.
- Legal in-house experience preferred.
- A high level of legal/commercial awareness including knowledge of current contract legislation and related fields, including competition law.
- Evidence of continuous knowledge development
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-initialise and perform tasks with mínimal supervision
- Computer literacy and the ability to operate common software packages.
- Ability to work well with others and build good relationships with clients and stakeholders
