**Production Shift Supervisor**

**Haslingden**

**Shift rotation
- 40 hours per week with weekends off**

As part of continued growth. Our client, a leading manufacturer in the North West are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Haslingden Site. This is a really exciting time to become part of a committed, friendly and valued team at a company that is focused on progression from the ground up.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
As a key member of the Manufacturing Team, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for meeting production needs, optimising labour and machine utilisation, and ensuring the delivery of targeted output levels while focusing on cost-efficiency and safety.

**Key Aspects of Role**:

- **Machine Utilisation**: Efficiently manage resources and respond to line breakdowns.
- **Quality**: Ensure adherence to quality standards and oversee quality assurance checks.
- **Speed**: Maintain and improve production line speeds while maintaining quality.
- **Communication and Leadership**: Foster effective communication, leadership, and teamwork.
- **Waste Reduction**: Reduce waste and accurately track waste-related costs.
- **Health & Safety**: Enforce safety protocols, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance.
- **Housekeeping**: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in work areas.

**Experience Required**
- Experience in implementing improvement techniques.
- Experience in accident investigation.
- Knowledge of management techniques.
- Familiarity with team leader structures.
- Forklift Truck license preferred.

**Skills, Abilities & Behaviours Required**
- Strong organisational skills and sense of priorities.
- Excellent man-management and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within the team.
- Full working knowledge of the Production Line.
- Working knowledge of product and quality specifications.
- Familiarity with Company Personnel Policies and Procedures.
- Understanding of manning structure, relief systems, and break allowances.

**Key Relationships**:

- Collaborate with the Production Manager to support initiatives and projects.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure maintenance programs and breakdown responses are efficient.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Supervisor to prioritise breakdown requirements.
- Maintain a working relationship with the Shift Managers to ensure the efficient operation of both departments.
- Liaise with Security to ensure site security outside normal working hours.
