**The Organisation**:
The University of Sunderland recently secured an ESF Contract ‘North East Workforce Skills Project’ to develop a wide and holistic suit of provision, designed to support employers within Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. A key aim of the project is to assist businesses in the development of higher skills at L3 and above through accredited and non-accredited training and to stimulate apprenticeship growth.

MTC Training along with a number of other partners are supporting the delivery of this project through to December 2023. MTC is a training provider offering a range of accredited courses in a wide range of IT and project management, as well as a portfolio of Apprenticeship Programmes. MTC’s core objective is to serve the North East region as a leading provider of accredited training. Based at the Industry Centre, Enterprise Park West, Sunderland - MTC offers the highest technical accreditation available and serves the whole of the North East region. The centre has a reputation for excellence and quality, built upon the exceptional dedication and professionalism of our team.

**The Role**:
Due to exceptional demand for management training, we have a new and exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced Management Trainer to support our delivery. As a Management Trainer, you will have experience of training and assessment across a range of management topics and qualifications to meet employer training requirements.

The role requires you to hold a relevant teaching / training and assessor qualification and you must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 1-year occupational experience in a related occupational area, within the last 3 years.

**Main Purpose of Role**:
To train and assess learners in Management / Team Leading and Administration, supporting and motivating learners to achieve the relevant qualifications and develop new business to grow the provision to meet contractual targets.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Conduct meaningful, measurable training needs analysis (TNA) with individual learners though effective information advice and guidance on commencement of programme.
- Make effective use of learners’ initial assessment to plan and execute training.
- Train, assess, motivate and support learners on programme to achieve qualifications / Units of Accreditation within a variety of employer locations throughout the North East
- Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved training materials, promoting standardisation. Use approved training methods to develop the learner utilising every opportunity to support learners to achieve their qualification in a timely manner.
- Maximise the use of e-learning and use a variety of assessment methods to ensure learners have the chance to evidence their knowledge in a variety of ways.
- Complete all funding and assessment documentation accurately and timely, ensuring all materials are available on request for audit purposes.
- Maintain health & Safety good practices. Monitor records in respect of employer’s practices & premises.
- Maintain employer involvement throughout the programme and encourage all parties to be actively involved in the programme review process.
- Develop new business through actively promoting MTC and the University of Sunderland to ensure a full workload is maintained.
- Maximise business opportunities by supporting networking events and jobs fairs.
- To undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade of role, as required by the Quality Assurance and Assessment Lead
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all learners in your remit with particular reference to those under 18 years and to vulnerable adults

**Special Circumstances**:
From time to time the post holder will be expected to work unsociable hours and must be flexible, as additional hours will be required at peak times of the year. Annual leave may be restricted to certain times of the year. The role holder may be required to travel outside of the region. The role holder must be independently mobile.
