Scientific Specialist

Overview Of RoleWe are looking for an experienced Scientific Specialist to join our Genomics Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-equipped genomics laboratory offering high-throughput sequencing and genotyping services to a wide range of collaborators, primarily using our Illumina and Oxford Nanopore sequencing pipelines.

The post will be responsible for generating and delivering high-quality data using a variety of approaches. This will involve hands-on laboratory work as well as primary data analysis and report preparation for collaborators. There will also be some laboratory management and client-facing responsibilities.

Located at our Harpenden campus, this is a full time, fixed term appointment at Band D initially to 31st March 2028. The role is available for immediate start and offers a salary in the range of £29,842-£32,315 per annum.
