A leading Live Events equipment supplier require a HSE Advisor for their state-of-the-art Office and warehouse in North west London.

Working under the guidance of the H&S and Property Services Manager to maintain the Health, Safety and Environmental management systems and provide support to the business on HSE initiatives and advise on any HSE related issues.

You will maintain a clear understanding of legal obligations, relevant industry standards and Health & Safety Executive best practice and communicate changes to the business.
- You will support the H&S and Property Services Manager in the management of the Risk Assessment process ensuring that all departments complete suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and resulting Safe Systems of Work.
- You will help ensure that all COSHH requirements are met, maintaining the COSHH register.
- You will help ensure that any lifting equipment owned or hired is in line with LOLER requirements.
- You will carry out regular site checks and inspections to monitor H&S compliance by employees and external contractors on site, taking remedial action as required.
- You will carry out planned audits on departments to assist in the continuous improvement of H&S documentation and performance, managing the completion of non-conformance reports and action plans as required.
- You will assist in the development of the Fire and Emergency Strategy, acting as a Fire Warden and conducting Fire Safety / Health and Safety inductions.
- You will be one of the primary contacts for accidents and incidents, acting as a First Aider, knowing what to do in an emergency and carrying out incident investigations as required.
- You will advise on PPE and maintain the PPE register, ensuring that all PPE is fit for purpose when issued, stored correctly and renewed as required.
- Through liaison with the Management Team and/or external trainers, you will help ensure the preparation, development and implementation of H&S training initiatives for employees, training in person where necessary.
