Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

We’re seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our customers. Located in a quiet area of Prenton, Tollemache Road is a purpose-designed, short-term respite care home with 10 en-suite bedrooms. We provide short-term respite care for 10 adults aged 18-65, who have a range of learning disabilities and complex or high needs.

**The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include**:

- Delivering sensitive care and expert support to our customers
- Encouraging customer integration and inclusion into the community
- Promoting a positive culture by engaging with customers to prevent social isolation
- Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
- Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
- _Sleep-ins (as and when required)_
- _General cleaning and cooking_
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

**Skills and experiences**:

- Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar, care related role
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
- Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
- NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards, is desirable
