**Deputy Manager, Huish House, Langport**

**Salary from £28,626pa working 37.5 hours a week**

Voyage Care are excited to advertise the newly created post of Deputy Manager at our 12-bed residential service in Langport.

Looking out over the Somerset levels, this beautiful old house has a warm and welcoming feel about it. Family orientated, we enable people with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex care needs, including visual impairments. As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining person centred support plans and ensuring high quality support is provided to each of the people that we support. You will be reporting into the Service Manager, working collaboratively with other senior staff in the team and be required to delegate duties to Support Workers, always promoting good practice and act as an effective and positive role model.

You will also be required to work alone with the people we support or as part of a team and may be required to provide support in any location appropriate to meet the needs of the service.

**What we are looking for from you**:

- Experience managing a team
- Strong IT skills and experience relating to the service and care plans
- An in-depth understanding of our client group
- Prior experience in a health and social care environment
- Driver with own vehicle
- The ability to prioritise your workload
- A 'can do' attitude
- Prior experience in writing a rota
- Be part of a managerial team providing support 7 days a week
