Brook Street are delighted to be searching for an experienced HR professional looking to take on the role of Human Resource Manager in a prestigious, well-known organisation on behalf of our client.
In this role, you will be accountable to the Chief Executive for providing sound advice on matters relating to HR and legislative requirements in accordance with Scottish employment law. You will also work closely with the organisation's Board, providing secretarialduties for meetings and ensuring that information is kept efficiently up-to-date and secure on the board's behalf. The Human Resource Manager will also be responsible for a wide variety of key HR-related duties, leading as a positive example in the workplaceand promoting their corporate values both within the organisation and in an external communications capacity.
Typical duties will include:

- Lead and deliver on all aspects of HR needs within the company - from a strategy for improvement, to cultivation of a sustainable, positive workplace, to efficiency in HR operations in general.
- Ensure that HR operates in accordance with company values as well as employment law and regulatory compliance E.G. Health & safety, GDPR, etc.
- Overseeing all levels of people management - This will include talent hiring, workforce planning, interviewing, recommending cost effective training, acting as an HR representative on issues such as redundancy, grievances, and industrial action.
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets for HR function.
- Support current and future business needs through 1st day induction for new starters, employee development, motivation, and retention - ensuring standards are set and met.
- Must be educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience.
- Must have a CIPD certificate qualification or higher.
- Experience in managing HR matters in a diverse environment.
- Ability to make sound commercial judgements based on business needs and budgetary guidelines - an eye for effective spending.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases, with an ability to use KPI data to inform decision making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
