**The role**:
**What will you be doing?**

Hybrid

1-2 days per week in the office

We are a leader in employee benefits, protecting over 2 million people, creating security and peace of mind to individuals & families.

We are looking for a nearly/newly qualified Actuary to join our Actuarial Risk & Capital function here at Unum UK.

You will be working on supporting capital management and initiatives, the setting of assumptions and calibrations of Internal Model risks, seeking input from experts and communicating your area of expertise to the wider business. You will lead, oversee and perform a range of Actuarial tasks to support BAU and project work.

We would like this person to be nearly or newly qualified. You will also be part of the Actuarial Development Programme here at Unum, which enables movement between our 5 principal activities and develops further knowledge and expertise.

**What will you bring?**

To be successful in this role:

- Strong numerical experience in an actuarial position
- Newly or nearly qualified actuary
- Life insurance/pensions/reinsurance or general insurance backgrounds
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Full training
