School Caretaker - required for Primary School in Redbridge
- Monday-Friday - 5 days per week
- Split Shift Hours: 06:30am-09:30am & 13:30pm-18:00pm
- Long term to permanent opportunity
- Mon-Fri (5 days per week)
- Location: Barkingside,IG6
- Primary School
- Enhanced DBS is essential

JDS Recruitment are looking for a School Caretaker for a Primary School in Redbridge The succesful canadidate should have previous experience working in a school and hold an enhanced DBS.

About the role as a School Caretaker, you'll be an experienced facilities professional who supervises work across the school with both external and internal contractors. You will have keyholder responsibilities and will be expected to oversee the securityof the premises and its contents including the operation of fire and burglar alarms and key holder responsibilities. The caretaker/site manager will report directly to the Headteacher.

Duties Include:

- Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensure the building and grounds are secure when not in use
- Open the building in the morning and lock it at the end of the day
- Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are checked regularly to ensure they are operational
- Take responsibility for ordering equipment relevant to your role
- The caretaker/site manager will report directly to the Office Manager/Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in the Headteacher’s absence.
