Summary

Moorbrook is a small SEMH specialist school for secondary age pupils, we are diversifying our team and looking to appoint a range of new roles. We are seeking learning mentors, HLTAs, a cover supervisor and a youth worker.

You will be part of a strong team who are passionate about securing the best education for our young people many of whom are neurodiverse and/or have had adverse childhood experiences.

As our Youth worker you will be supporting pupils in school and on offsite activities. You will support in the delivery of Personal, health and social education. You may also be called upon to support our outdoor education programme.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis. (Full time Qualified Grade 6 starts at £24,054).

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ/RVQ 3 Locally recognised JNC Qualification in Youth and Community Work

Desirable Qualifications
- Professional and/or academic level 3 qualification or equivalent or substantial experience in a relevant technical, specialised or operational field

Essential Experience
- Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings which demonstrate the ability to engage young people in challenging issues and activities which affect their lives

Desirable Experience
- Experience of working with a wide range of other professionals to develop and deliver shared initiatives for children, young people and families
