**Family Support Worker / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead**

**About this Role**

The Milestone School is part of SAND Academies Trust and is an outstanding school for pupils with a range of special needs, aged 3-16, based in Gloucester.

We would like to appoint a Family Support Worker, who will also act as deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL), to identify support required by parents and pupils and deliver or signpost parents to appropriate support from other agencies in order to reduce barriers to learning and improve pupil wellbeing and outcomes.

The successful applicant should have a passion for working with pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities. Experience of working with pupils with SEN, emotional or social difficulties and their families is essential, as is experience of assessment and working to plans.
