Category Assistant

About the role
**This is a part time role working 23 hours per week across a minimum of 3 days (to be discussed at interview)**

We are looking to recruit a full time Category Assistant in our Dagenham office. This role will work as part of a team to provide administrative support to the Category Manager and wider team.

Within this role you will be a pivotal part of the Category team, liaising with customers and building strong working relationships with our suppliers to ensure we have the right range of products at the right price to drive cash profit and customer satisfaction.

Our Category teams are extremely level headed, focused on deadlines, dealing with problems and taking everything in their stride. As part of this team you can expect a fast paced role and great satisfaction in knowing that you have done a good job.

You will be responsible for
Day to day administrative duties

Building strong working relationships with internal departments, external suppliers and customers

Collating information to aid in the communication of business documents

Reviewing marketing information to ensure it is accurate and competitive

Supporting key promotional activity within the business

Maintaining accurate and up to date information

You will need
Experience of using a PC with a thorough knowledge of Excel

Attention to detail

Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills

To be reliable, calm and focused

The ability to work to deadlines against changing priorities

A willingness to learn new skills
