New Community Ventures is recruiting for stewards at Central Hall, one of the largest event venues in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing team, to maintain our front of house and to perform a variety of tasks whilst hosting an event.

We are looking for an individual who takes initiative when provided with an assignment and strong interpersonal skills to liaise with any member of the team, the public or clients.

If you have a strong customer focus, a drive for excellence and a spirit to succeed coupled with stewarding experience then we would like to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at Central Hall
- Direct visitors to the appropriate room within Central Hall
- Ensure all areas are tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person
- Support the Events and Productions Manager and Building Manager with in-person customer relations
- Assisting a member of the team with any duties to the best of your ability and capacity

**Experience**:

- Experience in a stewarding role
- Practical knowledge of customer service
- Hands-on experience with customers

Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to creatively and proactively complete any given task to the best of your ability
- Excellent ability to build and sustain relationships
- Ability to perform in a high-pressured environment and make quick, effective decisions

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
