**Role Context**

We are seeking to grow our fundraised income by establishing fantastic communications with donors and supporters of YMCA. This role will be part of a small, dedicated fundraising team based at the heart of our operations: Fairthorne Manor. The postholder will develop and launch individual giving and legacy campaigns, undertake stewardship with supporters, and help embed legacy thinking into all aspects of our charity.

**Job Purpose**:
This role will work withing the fundraising and marketing team to design, develop and deliver fundraising activities and campaigns, and to pipeline and steward donors and supporters by communicating with them regularly.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- At all times work within the YMCA Way in accordance with our values
- Design and deliver communications using multiple techniques, from personal telephone calls to printed media, that lead to growth in donations and a strong sense of connection to the charity for supporters
- Identify and communicate with potential new donors
- Lead on design and delivery of campaigns with support from wider team
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, working to create a culture whereby we are all giving-minded
- Help internal stakeholders understand how to identify potential new donors
- Be the first point of call for legacy enquirers
- Work with wider YMCA teams, and especially Fairthorne Manor, to help maximise the fundraising value available from all YMCA activities
- Work with the fundraising manager to establish information systems
- Maintain records and regularly report on donations
- Ensure adherence to brand, ethics and fundraising priorities
- Participate in other fundraising and engagement activities as applicable, including events
- Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, and act in the interests of your own safety and the safety of others at all times
- Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the organisation.

**Person Specification & Key Competencies**

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Success at raising funds through individual giving and/or legacy
- A very active user of social media
- Experience of developing fundraising campaigns
- Experience/knowledge of marketing
- Excellent IT skills, including Office 365
- Relevant professional qualification and/or professional experience
- Recent professional development related to trends in fundraising
