**Job Title**:Maths Tutor

**Location**: Newcastle

**Salary**: up to £36,500 (Depending on experience)

**Package includes**: Excellent holiday entitlement, Pension + much more

**Type**: Full Time, Permanent

**Duties**:

- Deliver Maths GCSE and Functional Skills to learners within a classroom setting.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons and adopt a more personalised approach for individuals requiring more support.
- Identify learner's strengths and weaknesses through initial assessment diagnostics and support them accordingly.
- Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
- Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
- Ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently.

**Criteria**:

- Ideally hold or happy to work towards a recognised teaching qualification such as: PGCE, Diploma in Education and Training (DET), Cert Ed or equivalent.
- Must hold a relevant degree or recognised industry-based qualification within Maths.
- Must have experience of teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
- Confident to deliver in a classroom-based setting
- Must hold own Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalents).
- Must be IT literate.
- Enthusiastic individual who is able to make a real impact and make learning exciting
- Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
