**Health and Safety Consultant / Trainer - Wigan - £32,000 to £35,000**
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced H&S Consultant/Trainer to join our clients team in Wigan.
Our client is a small consultancy and training provider with a nationwide reach, and a passion for changing the perception of Health & Safety via its training courses and its approach to consultancy. **The Health and Safety Consultant/Trainers responsibilities**:
- Delivery of all company offered training courses nationwide (as required) and help ensure syllabus updates are translated through to company training materials
- Development of training courses, presentations, exercises and delegate notes as necessary
- Provide competent person advice to a range of clients Develop strong client relationships and rapport Advising our clients on Health and Safety matters, standards and best practice to suit their business
- Developing effective Health & Safety management systems and advising clients in the use of their management system to ensure it becomes part of their day to day business
- Liaise with the HSE where required Maintain awareness of new or changes to legislation that will have an effect on our clients and delegates
- Ensure ongoing commitment to personal growth and development (including IOSH CPD)
**Our Ideal Health and Safety Consultant / Trainer**:
**Key skills and experience**:
- NEBOSH Certificate level qualification Working towards NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 6 in Health & Safety Ideally at least 2yrs in a similar role Experience of teaching IOSH / NEBOSH courses PTLLS / AET Qualification Flexible for travel and working away as required Ability to work autonomously Good verbal and written communicator Driving License Sense of humour
**In return, as Health and Safety Consultant/ Trainer you will benefit from**:
- Salary of between £32,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience) Company Car and Laptop Company Pension Scheme 25 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays
**Health and Safety Consultant/Trainer Role Summary**:
- Providing pragmatic advice and support to clients across a range of industries to help ensure legal compliance and effective H&S management systems / arrangements are in place. You will visit client premises and sites to assess current health and safety arrangements, legal compliance, make recommendations for improvement, monitor progress and be an integral part to helping improve culture throughout the organisations. There will be days in the office completing the necessary reports, action plans and general administration that comes with the role of a consultant.
Delivery of both accredited (IOSH / NEBOSH) and bespoke training courses at our training centre in Wigan as well as at client premises around the UK (as required).
As our clients work across a range of industries and vary in size, you will have fantastic exposure which will help if you are working towards CMIOSH or looking to keep your CPD up to date.
