**Job Purpose**:
**FIXED TERM UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2023**

37 HOURS PER WEEK

£10.62 PER HOUR

As a Distribution Centre Colleague you will engage in all activities relating to the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, pick, pack and distribution of orders within your work area, role modelling the Lakeland values and behaviours at all times. This will also include routine housekeeping and the maintenance of Health & Safety standards.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Drives Business Success**
- To provide the required levels of performance within all assigned areas of work within the operation, as identified within the grading documentation.

**Operational Excellence**
- To operate to the required standard a range of mobile and fixed machinery
- To ensure correct action is taken resolving any machinery breakdown
- To be competent in using both the company's hardware and software systems as required
- To work to high levels of numerical accuracy within the relevant assigned tasks
- To ensure that health and safety standards are maintained and that work areas are kept clean and tidy with no rubbish accumulating, with hazards to be reported/removed

**Being an Ambassador for Lakeland**
- To have a positive proactive approach in ensuring that any issues are resolved in the correct and approved manner
- To take ownership of any product problems identified by reporting them and recommending solutions
- To encourage and act upon feedback to improve service delivery and working methods
- To understand that our actions have an effect on colleague and customer relations and that our performance can enhance colleague and customer satisfaction
- To be committed to go above and beyond to promote and ensure a safe working environment
- To uphold and demonstrate the Lakeland values and behaviours at all times

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**Essential - the 'must haves'**
- A professional approach to work and the ability to receive, understand and carry out tasks to meet the day-to-day needs of the department
- Certification for the range of machinery relevant to the department/area in order to fulfil the range of tasks required by the role (appropriate training will be given)
- Excellent communication and listening skills, able to positively participate within a team
- Good literacy and numerical skills
- A high level of accuracy and conscientiousness
- Effective time management skills
- The ability to work under pressure
- Adaptability and reliability

**Desirable - the 'nice to haves'**
- Existing knowledge of Lakeland products
- Experience of working within a warehousing environment
