Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to use own initiative is essential is essential along with effective planning and organisation of your time and the ability to work under pressure. You will also be able to demonstrate that you have had previous experience of leading change and have a good track record of delivering initiatives and new ways of working.

You must have considerable experience either within Recovery, or another high acuity area, or have had people management experience and have the clinical skills to work within the existing team structure, ideally at a minimum of 3 years at band 5 level.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for coordinating the Recovery area on a day to day basis, liaising with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

You will be allocated a small team of staff and be responsible for their development, including: appraisals, revalidation, training and career development.

You will be allocated a link role and have the chance to run small projects autonomously.

- Evidence of clear written and verbal communication

- Recent experience of working in either Recovery or other high acuity area
- Evidence of ability to manage unstable patients
- Evidence of AIMS/ Acute care skills, or equivalent

Desirable criteria

- Knowledge of Perioperative pathway and Recovery scope

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria
- Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration
- Mentorship qualification

- Post grad education

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
