**Financial Crime Product Owner**

**Financial Crime Product**

Financial Crime Product leads the first line of defence for money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and sanctions risk. We are responsible for ensuring all business-owned controls are optimized to reduce financial crime risk for Chase in the UK, and own the financial crime strategy across all existing and future products, channels and geographies.

**Financial Crime Product focuses on six areas**:

- Overseeing the Financial crime strategy and roadmap that ensures we meet Regulatory obligations and also internal global standards that are in place across the firm
- Leadership of a team of product professionals to optimise financial crime controls to allow business growth in a controlled manner
- Working with Engineering squads to optimise and drive continuous transformation of our financial crime capabilities
- Driving the data strategy for financial crime; this includes (i) following a robust governance framework that ensures data is thoughtfully managed (ii) leveraging technology and innovation to minimise customer and operations impact, and drive data quality, and iii) working with Analytics on the implementation of data reporting to support monitoring of financial crime program effectiveness
- Supporting and overseeing the Financial Crime Operations team to optimise financial crime processes whilst delivering first class customer service
- Working with the 2nd line financial crime compliance team to ensure controls and processes remain compliant and effective in a retail banking environment

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Strong stakeholder management skills that ensures credibility at senior management forums on Financial Crime across the firm
- Drive an end to end digital financial crime strategy through implementation of a financial crime program that optimizes client experience and delivers a best in class framework to prevent and detect financial crime
- Own financial crime related business processes and associated artifacts. Lead the team responsible for mapping business processes using visual business process management tools e.g. Visio
- Define Financial Crime Product requirements for all products, channels, customer types and geographies
- Prioritise the financial crime business requirements, driving delivery of technical solutions by engineering squads
- Support the completion of compliance monitoring and testing activities, audit reviews and regulatory exams
- Collaboration with the operational teams on a day-to-day basis by responding to the escalation of operational queries, building controls and processes to support them in their operational tasks as well as empower them with knowledge, experience and capability to perform effectively
- Provide expert financial crime advise when working with a wide group of stakeholders within the business (product teams, controls, operations) to ensure key partners are aware of all potential financial crime risk exposure and considerations
- Deliver platform stability and create dashboards and key optimized ion views to drive enhanced monitoring and reporting of risk and control performance indicators which supports us in monitoring platform performance effectively
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the firm including: business, technology, product management, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology control functions to drive engagement with the financial crime prevention program of work

**Qualifications and experience desired**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of leading and developing small teams of business analysts
