**Summary of main purpose of role**:
To investigate, analyse and review data held in NCG systems to meet the data requirements of funding bodies and of audit, providing advice and information to colleagues in data functions within other parts of the group.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Along with the Group ILR Data Manager, ensure the timely and accurate submission of ILR data returns to the relevant funding bodies.
- Manage processes aimed at verifying and validating learner record data to assure and optimise NCG’s funding opportunities. E.g. PDSAT, SCORE, FRM.
- Interpret technical specifications and funding regulations in order to provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues in the group.
- Assist in the development and delivery of specialist training programmes on data and funding.
- Investigate funding body published data reports to identify pertinent data issues for correction.
- Assist the Group ILR Data Manager to monitor the group performance related to learner data processes, identifying trends.
- Analyse and present complex datasets in order to facilitate decision making on funding and data issues.
- Contribute to the development of group wide standards designed to ensure consistency in internal data management.
- Represent the NCG Data Team in the absence of the NCG ILR Data Manager.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues built on the NCG values.
