**Residential Support Worker**
**Salary: £32,076 - £33,024**
- The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role._
**Hours:18.5 hours**
**Location**:1 Oak Tree Road, Kendal LA9 6AN
**Contract: Permanent**
**The Role**
This is a highly rewarding role that can be challenging at times, you will need to be confident, self-motivated, and really want to make a difference.
You will get the chance to build close relationships with the young people in our home, supporting them to have their voice heard in all aspects of their care planning and experience of living in the home.
This role will include sleep-in shifts and weekend working, sleep-in shifts are paid on top of the advertised salary.
**Who we are looking for**
We are looking for someone with experience working with children and young people, ideally within a residential setting. You will also already have achieved a minimum Level 3 in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards this qualification.
A good knowledge and understanding around managing challenging behaviours would also be key to this role and well as being an exceptional communicator and be able to build key relationships withyoung people and their families.
We need someone who can be flexible, and who works well as part of a close, and incredibly supportive team.

**This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.**
