**Job Summary**:
The post holder will provide support to the Quality Governance team and Quality Governance committee in delivering all aspects of Clinical Governance. They will support the Clinical Governance framework by working with the team to co-ordinate, implement and deliver all aspects of risk and governance.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Support the implementation of all aspects of governance such as investigations, reports, reporting all findings and issues to the Management team.
- Monitor and maintain the NICE, complaints, incident and serious incident investigation database, ensuring compliance with nationally and locally determined response targets, reporting variance to the Assistant Manager.
- Work with the clinical areas to ensure that quality assurance processes are in place to meet national recommendations across services.
- Liaise with other departments such as Transformation, HR, ARRS team as required.
- Participate in and monitor audits results carried out across the Confederation: monitoring action plans, and report findings to the Assistant Governance Manager.
- Monitor the patient feedback inbox ensuring prompt actions/response to patient and service user feedback.
- Maintain records of responses and actions from complaints, audits, service reviews and incident investigations.
- Be able to be flexible in approach to managing own workload with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- To report any accident, untoward incident or loss relating to staff, patients or visitors according to The Confederations policies.
- Participate annually in identifying, developing and agreeing your own development plan with your Line Manager.
- Take and transcribes minutes of formal meetings relating to complaints, and incidents as directed. Generate written reports as required in relation to complaints and incidents.
- Support Lead Investigators in complaints management /investigations/ root cause analysis as appropriate to the needs of the Confederation.
- Maintain and manage the Confederations Risk Register, working with team leads to complete good quality risk assessments.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports and any other relevant documents.

**Collaborative Working Relationships**:

- Explores the potential for collaborative working and take opportunities to initiate and sustain such relationships.
- Demonstrates appropriate communication to gain the co-operation of relevant stakeholders (including patients, senior and peer colleagues, and other professionals.
- Can recognise personal limitations and refer to more appropriate colleague(s) when necessary.

Liaises with other stakeholders as needed for the collective benefit of patients including but not limited to:

- Patients and their representatives.
- GP, Nurses and other practice staff.
- Other healthcare professionals including Community Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers, First Contact Physiotherapists, Physicians Associate and Paramedics.
- Community Pharmacists and support staff.
- Other members of the medicines management (MM) team including Pharmacists, Technicians and Dieticians.
- Locality/GP prescribing lead.
- Community Nurses and other allied health professionals.
- Hospital staff with responsibilities for prescribing and medicines optimization.
- Community nurses and other allied health professionals.

**Professional Development**:

- Work with your line manager to undertake continual personal and professional development, taking an active part in reviewing and developing the role and responsibilities.
- Involved in one-to-one meetings with line manager monthly to discuss targets and outcomes achieved.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safeguarding, lone working, information governance, and health and safety.
- Review yearly progress and develop clear plans to achieve results within priorities set by others.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required**:

- Recognises priorities when problem-solving and identifies deviations from normal pattern and can refer to seniors when appropriate.
