Mavisbank is a 7 bedded residential respite service based in Kinning Park, Glasgow. We provide respite to adults with disabilities which allows carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities. We provide leisure activities to the people using our service to ensure they have as busy or as relaxed a break as they would like.

The service is managed by a project manager and two team leaders with a team of support staff. We are situated next to the Quay complex and many of our guests enjoy visiting the bowling or the cinema. We also have our own vehicle which allows us to travel further afield.

The service is registered as a Care home with the Care Inspectorate. Mavisbank opened 20 years ago and provides respite support to around 90 adults from all over Scotland who have a disability and live with their carer, typically a family member. Support is personalised and we look to ensure that each person who visits us has an enjoyable break by making it as busy or quiet as they would like.

We are looking for a Female Support Worker to cover 2 nights per week. (Monday and Tuesday). The hours of work are 9.45pm until 7.45am the following day.

The role involves ensuring the overnight wellbeing of our guests including personal care tasks. There is the requirement to prepare the unit for the following day by undertaking some light domestic tasks.

Full training and support will be given and in addition to the wakened nightshift, the service has a member of staff on sleepover in event of requiring additional support.

There is the opportunity to cover annual leave and staff training if required.
