Role: Payroll / Finance Assistant

Reporting to: Financial Controller

**Salary**: Salary depending on experience

Holiday: 20 days plus statutory hols

Duties and responsibilities:
Monthly payroll processing
- Responsible for ensuring payroll is completed to the monthly deadline
- Management and maintenance of the site payroll system
- Processing statutory payments: sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay
- Calculate additional payments including overtime, responsibility pay and average holiday
- Process any new starters, leavers and change of details
- Preparing the monthly payroll file for FC approval, in line with audit criteria
- Responsible for ensuring FPS / EPS submissions are sent to HMRC
- Responsible for sending payments for PAYE and third-party payments (union, AOE)
- Time & Attendance maintenance
- Agency timesheet verifying/processing
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies

Purchase Ledger processing
- Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Process business expense returns

Other
- Complete and report National Statistics surveys
- Produce the daily labour factory labour report
- Monthly reconciliations
- AD-HOC tasks as required

**Experience/Qualifications required**:

- Previous Payroll experience
- An aptitude for IT - good Excel skills
- Previous Payroll experience
- An aptitude for IT - good Excel skills
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- The ability to work to regular deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
