Laundry Delivery Driver

Van Driver, 16+ hours per week

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a van driver to work from 9.30am to 2.30pm. Tuesday Thursday Friday alternate Saturday

Purpose of the Role

To be responsible for the efficient transport of garments and goods throughout the business network.

Key Responsibilities

To collect and return customer items in a timely and secure manner.

To complete accurately all relevant paperwork and log in all work collected at the unit.

To be accountable for securing your allocated vehicle and its contents at all times

To handle cash and use an EPOS till, including handling credit cards

Complete daily safety checks of vehicle

To be responsible for the correct use and security of branch keys alarm codes mobile phones and fuel cards

Driving within the UK highway code regulations

Reporting any vehicle accidents immediately

Treat all customers and other persons in a courteous friendly and professional manner.

To handle any emergency which may arise including following procedures in the event of a vehicle fire

To comply with Newlook dry Cleaners guidelines and procedures, particularly in relation to branch security and Health and Safety regulations.

Job Requirement

Must hold a current full UK driving license, with at least 7 years driving experience.

At least 2 years experience in a similar work environment would be an advantage

Excellent communication skills

Be a good team player with the ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
