Talking Therapies are looking for Employment Advisors to work alongside their team of therapists to ensure that a personalised package of combined psychological treatment and employment support is available to all service users.

This role is part of a new employment advice service where you will be supporting service users with remaining in employment, returning to employment following a period of absence or seeking new employment.

You will need to be enthusiastic and motivated with a caring and positive approach to succeed in this role.

We have positions available across the county at our Liskeard, Roche, and Saltash bases.

This is a Fixed Term role until the end of March 2025.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Conduct an employment assessment, discussing the person’s job goals and any concerns regarding their capacity for work. To examine barriers preventing them from paid employment
and whether the individual could develop strategies to address them.
- Utilise specialist advisory skills to support people, who are facing complex employment situations related to mental ill health to obtain, return to or retain employment.
- Refer and signpost the person to other support if they have particularly complex barriers.
- Where appropriate provide help to find the right job and provide advice and support on training and also how to prepare for employer interviews.
