**Civils Site Supervisor**

**Purpose of job**
- To contribute to the safe operation of the Stublach Gas Storage Facility to ensure the protection of personnel and the environment.
- To supervise the work activities on the Stublach site estate and buildings, including all site civils activities, land management aspects and facilities maintenance activities.
- To ensure all site work is carried out safely, with a particular focus on buried services and excavation activities.

**SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT**
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and to comply with safety rules, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
- To supervise all works in accordance with the Permit to Work, Method Statement and Risk Assessment documentation in order to ensure that all civils and grounds maintenance activities are carried out safely and to a high standard. This includes ensuring that all contractors are suitably qualified and experienced, all work activities are risk assessed and appropriately permitted.
- Report all events (personal injuries, equipment damage, environmental and security) to your Line Manager and regularly raise proactive observations to help reduce the risk of an unsafe situation occurring.
- Take ownership of the buried services across the Stublach site, including the HV feeder cables into the Gas Plant as well as the various gas, methanol and brine and water pipework. Where required, locate and mark up any services using a CAT & Genny and brief contractors on their presence prior to works commencing.

**OPERATIONS**
- To be the point of contact for Civils / FM Contractors on-site and to carry out the daily setting-to-work briefings.
- Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with all associated Scope of Work and Design documentation and to report any planned and unforeseen deviations from the original Scope to the Site Services Engineer. To ensure any on-site changes are approved and adequately recorded before implementation.
- Monitor site and construction activities by various contractors and to help contractors resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Carry out various surveys and inspections on our site infrastructure and relay the information to the Site Services Engineer.
- Assist the Operations Team with any civils and estates-related issues and to report any problems and/or defects on any of our infrastructure.
- Keep an accurate site diary of daily activities, number of sub-contractors on-site, any changes / variations and records of work-related discussions.
- Assist the Site Services Engineer in producing Scope of Works documentation and in the delivery of various projects.
- Assist in the Management Of Change Process.
- Ensure the Contractor Welfare Facilities are in good condition and in line with CDM requirements. Report any defects and arrange for repairs where required.

**Key Competencies**
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- CSCS Supervisory or Manger’s Card desirable.
- EUSR Category 1: Locate Utility Services (or equivalent) required.
- Experience using CAT & Genny to locate buried services.
- Experience working in the Utilities industry.
- Experience with Permit to Work schemes (Permit to Dig, Permit to Pump, Hot Works Permit, etc.).
- Basic IT Skills (i.e. printing service drawings, filling out Excavation Certificates, uploading photographs).
- Valid UK driver’s license.

There will be times when you may be required to undertake additional tasks, duties and responsibilities within your capabilities. The company reserves the right to vary your tasks, duties and responsibilities at any time and from time to time according to the needs of the business. However, you will not be assigned to duties or required to perform services which you cannot reasonably perform or which are outside the range of your normal skills and experience.

**Salary**: £350.00 per day
