**Crowders Nurseries,** part of the **RSK Group, **is seeking to appoint an** Assistant Buyer **on a 1**2 month fixed term contract** based out of their head offices in **Horncastle, Lincolnshire.**

**Requirements**:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- The ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and operating systems.
- An understanding of the need to complete work in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Own Initiative, who is motivated, and team driven with a good financial understanding.
**Responsibilities**
- As Assistant Buyer you will be supporting the Head of Operations assisting within all areas of the Purchasing department.
- Your main duties will be focused on allocating sales orders using Wintree Software (full training will be provided) from our companies own stock and that from third party suppliers.
- You will engage in supplier negotiations to maximise profit margins and raise purchase orders in a timely manner.
- You will be responsible for Booking in inbound stock onto Wintree, ensuring Customs clearance and Notifying the Plant Heath Authorities of inbound consignments from the EU and checking off supplier invoices.

From our three sites in Lincolnshire, we propagate many of the plants grown in our nursery, which ensures a consistent quality. Crowders supply the full range of nursery stock products, including container-grown, bare-root and root-balled plants, hedging and forestry. We also supply plants for roads, highways, railways and other infrastructure projects. Other products include herbaceous and perennial plants, ornamental shrubs, instant hedging and screening and trees from UK-certified and traceable stock. We supply these solutions to government organisations, local authorities, landscape contractors, landscape architects and construction firms throughout the UK, the Channel Islands, Ireland and Europe.
